THE HERITAGE INN
Great Falls’ Heritage Inn has been operating as a hotel and convention center since the doors opened in 1972. Owners Roy and Diane Volk have owned and operated the grand facility since its construction, and in fact, Roy’s construction company built this property (as well as all the additions that followed). Over the course of the last 46 years, the Heritage Inn has had many long-standing customers—those who come to work, those who come to stay, and those who come for both! One thing that keeps guests coming back time and again is the flexibility of the property, specifically, its meeting rooms with any and every type of setup imaginable. The Heritage Inn is capable of hosting a wide variety of events onsite, and its staff—which continually goes above and beyond for its guests—is the final touch. Be it for work or for leisure, the Heritage Inn’s staff ensures a comfortable, memorable stay that guests have come to count on. The Heritage Inn is always out to impress each guest who steps foot on the property, whether they’re new or a returning “road warrior.” “Our business is people,” says Heritage Inn General Manager Bob Dompier. “These are people who are celebrating a wedding, people who are mourning a loss, people here for work, and people simply traveling though this beautiful state of Montana.” Heritage Inn employees shine by getting to know the variety of people coming through the door. It may have been several months since the last time you stopped in,
but the coffee baristas will remember how many espresso shots you want, the breakfast staff will remember how you like your eggs, the bar staff will remember your favorite drink, and housekeeping will remember you like extra towels in your room, etc. “We feel honored you have chosen to stay with us and want to make sure that if there is something we can do to make your stay more pleasant, we want to do it without even being asked,” says Dompier. The long-standing tie the Heritage Inn has with the community makes it a major asset for Great Falls. Though it has been affiliated with Best Western from the beginning, the hotel and convention center will be an independent entity moving forward, allowing the business to directly—and more effectively—work with its customers. The Volks, who have always had a deep love for their community, are excited to share this next phase of development with Great Falls and its visitors. In many ways, the Heritage Inn is going back to its roots as a locally built, locally owned, and locally operated business. The facility now features new signs with a familiar logo—the same one used in the 1970s and ’80s. The Heritage Inn is located at 1700 Fox Farm Road in Great Falls.
